    FLORELYNN SANTA INES
    is Bb. FLORIDA 2006
    Pageant to Benefit Medical Mission to Iloilo, Philippines

    		In one of the most exciting events organized by some of the region's most influential organizations, FLORELYNN CANEZO SANTA INES won as BINIBINING FLORIDA 2006.

    The 21-year-old junior from the University of Florida at St. Petersburg was was crowned at the conclusion of the 1st Binibing Florida Pageant at the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center in Tampa, Florida.
    Bb. Florida 2006 lorelynn Luz Canezo celebrates her win with parents Luz Canezo Santa Ines and Froilan Tolentino and PCFI’s Mrs. Lucy Bautista   Binibining Florida was chosen by a judging panel coming from diverse business industries.
     

    Mr. Richard Young, District Manager for Ortho McNeil Neurologists; he also played with the New York Giants in the NFL; Mr. Jon Shin, Vice President of Eli Lilly Company and was Mr. Cincinnati Open 1996;Miss Maria Barrameda, President of the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Boca Raton, and President of the United Filipino American Association of Palm Beach; Michelle Dy, Assistant Vice President of Paragon Mortgage and was Miss Philfest of 1997; and Zeny Encarnacion, married to Dr. Efren Encarnacion and 25-year member of the Philippine Medical Society and had students involved with the Philippine Cultural Foundation.
    Masters of ceremonies were Christina Stanley and Keith Kotseng.

    Popular singer and entertainer Doc Erikk Cruz entertained the guests and serenaded the candidates with his recent original recording and a memorable pop favorite.

    Throughout the pageant, the candidates competed in their Philippine traditional costume, casual wear, beachwear, formal wear, and interview.

    During these competitions winners were selected for special categories: Candace Lynne Greenough as miss congeniality, and Jayne Winjie Alagano as miss photogenic. Three other special category winners were: Maria Krinessa Ortiz as as Miss Luzon, Karina Kara Alyado, as Mis Visayas, and Candace Lynne Greenough as Miss Mindanao,

    Three candidates in the top three For the Binibining Florida crown were: Carines Carag Banatayan, third runnerup; Second runnerup was Maria Nuguid, and Jayne Winjie Alagano won as first runnerup.

    Mrs. Angie Cacultian, Mrs. Philfest 2006 crowned Florelynn Canezo Santa Ines as Binibining Florida 2006 at the conclusion of the pageant, which was covered for broadcast to a worldwide viewing audience by Filamvision TV through its channels.

    The Event was organized by a group of students led by Melissa Barrido, President of the Association of Filipino Students at USF working in conjunction with the Philippine Medical Society of Florida Gulf Coast headed by its president, Dr. William Cua.
